Painted Hills CDC0110
I got lucky with this one and patience paid off. I got to my spot early while the sun was above a big cloud bank. I had some time to shoot. Shortly after, the sun slowly disappeared below the clouds. Several other "photographers" packed it up and headed out. I wanted to get going because the weather looked like it was about to move in on me. I didn't want to get caught in a storm on the motorcycle. I looked around and thought if the sun comes back out it won't be for a while and it will be close to dark, but I had a feeling. I waited and was rewarded with a few moments of brilliant late evening light. Enjoy.
